Akabeko is a traditional toy from the Aizu region of Japan. The toy, usually made from papier machi, is made from two pieces, a head and hollow body. The head piece hangs from a string or hook attached to the body. When the toy is moved, the head bobs up and down and side to side. Made in Japan.
