Info & Care
An obi, traditionally worn with a kimono, is a wide sash that goes round the waist and is tied at the back with a large flat bow. This second-hand obi is a kakeshita obi traditionally used with a kakeshita kimono worn beneath the uchikake wedding kimono. The crane, fabled to have a life span of a thousand years, is a symbol of good fortune, longevity and fidelity in Japan. There is some fraying and signs of wear throughout but generally the obi is in good condition.
